The logistics industry in India is evolving rapidly and it is the interplay of infrastructure, technology and new types of service providers that will define whether the industry is able to help its customers reduce their logistics costs and provide effective services (which are also growing). Changing government policies on taxation and regulation of service providers are going to play an important role in this process.
The Indian economy has been growing at an average rate of more than 10 per cent over the last decade putting enormous demands on its productive infrastructure. Whether it is the physical infrastructure of road, ports, water, power etc. or the service infrastructure of logistics - all are being stretched to perform beyond their capabilities. India is poised to be the land of opportunity for logistics service providers all over the world.
Logistic sector witnesses the best development for the last few years in India and speed will remain at higher pace in the coming future. The Indian logistics sector, as elsewhere, comprises the entire inbound and outbound segments of the manufacturing and service supply chains.
The logistics infrastructure has received lot of attention both from business and industry as well as policy makers. Logistic sector shares 13 percentages in total GDP of Indian economy that is quite encouraging in comparison to other developed country like US (10%), Britain (11%) and Japan (10%).
SSVB always focuses on opportunity and innovation. If we analyze the weakness of Logistic sector, the major weakness is of unavailability of organized player. To be the key player, help in India's development, provide large number of employment and strengthen SSVB's foundation we indulge ourselves in Logistic Sector.
SSVB has proved its importance and we are making huge profit due to penetration in such profit making sector. Within short span of time we have marked of strong footprint in South Gujarat.
SSVB is using its own logistics for central purchasing. Due to our own logistics we are reducing our cost along with time. We have our central purchase unit who use to buy product in bulk and by the means of our own transport we are storing it in our main godown (central warehouse). From our central warehouse we use to supply products as per the requirement to our FMCG retail stores (BBS) using our own transport (Saving Money & Time, Maintaining Quality &Stock ).
Today, the people are so busy and service conscious that in order to be business leaders we have to think differently. We have started a new trend i.e. FREE HOME DELIVERY from our SSVB stores which has imparted us from rest of the competitor. To provide such facility our Logistic expansion has helped a lot and paves us the path of success.
We are using our logistics for Partnership Farming, Partnership Buffalo & Goat Rearing etc.
